Guantánamo.- With the conviction that no force in the world can crush the power of truth and ideas, more than 16,000 residents of the municipality of San Antonio del Sur in eastern Cuba are signing “My Signature for the Homeland” these days to demonstrate once again that Cuba is Cuba, and that the profound love of millions of Cubans will never waver.
In workplaces, businesses, retail outlets, and in communities through grassroots electoral councils, the entire population will have the opportunity to sign and participate in another of our people’s many victories for the Homeland.
With the signature of every man and woman, young and old people, we vehemently reject the harsh U.S. blockade that Cubans have suffered for more than six decades and demonstrate to the world that Cuba is not just an island; it is a people willing to die before betraying our achievements.
Today more than ever, the Motherland looks upon you with pride.
