Guantanamo.- Diorgina Castillo Duboys, sister of the renowned athlete Yarisleidis Cirilo Duboys, has emerged as a promising athlete in Cuban canoeing.
At 17, Diorgina established herself as the best rookie athlete of 2025 and won the gold medal in the C2 500 meters at the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción 2025, clocking 2:24.33 alongside her teammate Yisnoly López.
Her success is the result of months of rigorous training and the unwavering support of her mother, Yaritza Duboys Ramírez, who acknowledges the dedication of the coaches in her training.
Diorgina aspires to participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, remaining focused on her future competitions.
