The Ramon Infante Garcia Provincial Palace of Pioneers in Guantanamo, located on the outskirts of the capital city, opened its doors with recreational activities organized by the directors and specialists of that facility, which will host some 1,000 schoolchildren in July and August.
Gastronomic offers, book sales, chess competitions, karaoke, film screenings, sports meetings, among other options, enlivened the first opening day of summer 2024 at the provincial palace, the only one of its kind in Guantanamo province .
The summer workshops will be held from Monday to Thursday, with topics such as spelling and reading, food culture, gastronomy, environmental health, handicrafts, among others that will be added as the organizations and institutions of the territory contribute to them.
On working Saturdays, the facility provides services through cultural and recreational activities and in this space, children will have the opportunity to show, through their exhibitions, what they have learned in the workshops.
The program organized by the directors of the Provincial Palace of Pioneers Ramon Infante Gracia also includes the audiovisual program Pa que Te Eduques, which includes didactic games, Cuban films, documentaries and virtual visits to historical sites.
The activities held at the Pioneers Provincial Palace in Guantanamo are dedicated to Fidel Castro’s birthday, Children’s Day, the anniversaries of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Barracks and the International Youth Day on July 12th.
