Guantánamo – The conference “Modernity and eclecticism in the work of Regino E. Boti, opens in Guantanamo the 46th edition of the Literature and Plastic Arts Contests dedicated to the most renowned poet of the territory. The lecture given by the art critic Jorge Núñez Motes takes place at the Aretusa room, of the Cuban Writers and Artists Association (Uneac), in the province.
The avant-garde in Boti’s lyrics is highlighted by the writer Mireya Piñeiro Ortigosa when commenting on “Kodak-Ensueño,” the collection of poems that celebrates 95 years of its publication.
The National Prize for Plastic Arts Nelson Domínguez Cedeño, among the guest artists, that take part of the various activities, which include the award ceremony of the contests in that plastic arts and literature.
The provincial director of Culture, Yoelvis Labañino López and the Yuliet Heredia Suárez, director of the Book and Literature Center also attend the event, which runs until Saturday.
