With the giving of awards to the best programs and journalistic works in contest, the Provincial Radio Festival concluded at the Artex cultural center in the city of Baracoa, where the Jury gave the Grand Prize of the event to the work Regino Eladio Boti, un aldeano convicto y confeso, (Regino Eladio Boti, a convicted and confessed villager), by the prestigious journalist Martha Reyes Noa, in the Documentary category.

The moment was the right time to present the aforementioned reporter and host of the people´s participation program Timbre with the Golden Seal and Diploma for the Centennial of Cuban Radio, her significant contributions to the country and proven loyalty in defense of the Revolution.

The competition’s panel, chaired by renowned director Genara Barcelay Sayú, also awarded the CMDX la Voz del Toa station in Baracoa as Best Radio Station Prize, as they won four awards in the Children’s, Science and Technology, Rural and Heritage categories.

At the provincial event, 40 works were presented with varied themes and artistic calibres, of which four were awarded by the CMKS Radio Trinchera anti-imperialist radio station, including the Reliquias broadcast, about sound heritage, by journalist Mabel Pozo Ramírez.
