
The artist Raúl Tissert Tamayo with his work “Cuban Landscape” won the prize of the Provincial Plastic Arts Contest of the 24th edition the José Vázquez Pubillones Exhibition Contest that recently concluded in Guantanamo, as the culmination of the Cuban Culture Day in the territory.
On the other hand, the young Olaph Quiala Rodríguez obtained the first mention of this provincial contest for his collection of photographic Works, while the jury also awarded mentions to the young artists Geidys Fernández and Axel Navarro, as reported by the institutional Facebook profile of the Provincial Council of the Performing Arts in Guantanamo, the institution that sponsored the event from October 18 to 20.
The program of activities of the José Vázquez Pubillones Exhibition Contest, included the collective exhibition of engraving “Alegorías al Grabado”, by artists from Santiago de Cuba as well as presence of the guest artist, Israel Tamayo Zamora, who was in charge of theoretical part of the event.
