Yoanna Acosta Hernandez, head of the admission department at the Medical Sciences University in the province, emphasizes that the students, mostly from vulnerable families, also learn about the human body behavior when presenting diseases or injuries.

This academic course, designed for to two years, will enable the expansion of the nursing staff in both primary and secondary care, with emphasis on the general teaching hospital, Doctor Agostinho Neto, the largest health institution in the province.

The new basic nursing course, rectored by the Medical Sciences University, was guaranteed by the link with professionals from the Education Provincial Directorate and the Labor and Social Security Ministry , in charge of the selection and accompaniment of those who integrate this professional contingent to carry out their work inside and outside the country.

The members of the third-edition basic nursing course, once graduated, can continue their studies at other levels, which will allow them to reach higher levels of academic, ethical and research knowledge.
