Beasts from the municipality of El Salvador and Rays from Maisí advanced to the final of the Provincial Baseball Series by defeating the Guantanamo Braves and the San Antonio del Sur Sharks, respectively.
According to the publication on the Facebook profile of the sports correspondent, Nevay Machado, the Salvador players leaned on the arms of the experienced Orlandis Martínez and Luis Enrique Castillo to defeat Guantanamo players 3×0, in the city´s Nguyen Van Troi stadium.
In the other match, held at Los Arados de Gran Tierra, the locals defeated the San Antonio del Sur Sharks 6×2, combining good pitching with timely hitting and terrible defense of the losers.
Right-handed Eibar Matos won his 6th victory in the championship and needed the help of Edianny Matos and Aurelio Gabriel Delgado to sneak into the final for the second consecutive year.
The title match will take place on the 8th at the Pedro Eladio Sánchez Laffita stadium in Maisí, in a play off of 5 to win 3.
This last stage will define the new high-performance champion in Guantanamo in the provincial baseball classic.
