Guantanamo.- The residents of the municipality of Maisí celebrate this Wednesday, July 24, the provincial event for the 71st anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, in Bayamo, a venue conquered by stability in compliance with the main economic, political and social tasks, and the increase in production and services.
Radio Guantánamo follows up on the program of activities for the relevant anniversary in that territory, where a broad program of political, cultural and economic actions is developed, with the inauguration of social works.
Municipal and provincial personalities and organizations are awarded in Maisí
Several personalities and provincial and municipal organizations with relevant results and outstanding careers are awarded on the occasion of the provincial event held this Wednesday for July 26, National Rebellion Day.
Those honored include a representation of the Los Indios de Guantánamo baseball team, who ended in 9th place in the recently concluded National Baseball Series, and the child Yacob Elías Laborit Matos, a medalist of the National School Games.

Bust of José Martí unveiled in Maisí Square
Yoel Pérez García, top political leader in the province of Guantánamo, and Alis Azaharez Torreblanca, Governor at the same level, unveiled in Maisí a bust in a small square in honor of José Martí Pérez, the Apostle of Independence and National Hero of Cuba , before starting the territorial act on July 26.
Along with the highest authorities of the province were Roeldys Ramos Tomacen, first secretary of the Party in the municipality of Maisí, and Pablo Griñan Vega, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power.
