From November 30 to December 4, Guantánamo will host the seventh edition of the Chocolate with Coffee Music and Traditions Festival, an event that also calls for the II BIOCUBA Business Fair.

This was announced during the press conference in which members of the organizing committee participated, headed by Mayor Rolando Cantillo Hernández, together with Eliomar Fuentes Caboverde, Municipal Director of Culture, Osmel de la Cruz, coordinator of the Chamber of Commerce of the Eastern Zone and director of the Alto Serra Enterprise, and Alexander Cala, Vice Mayor of the Board of Directors.

On this occasion, the event will be dedicated to the 153rd Anniversary of the granting of the title of Villa to Guantanamo, to the 20 years of solo artistic life of the singer-songwriter Waldo Mendoza – honorary president and founder of the festival – and to the agroforestry women for their dedication and contribution to the sustainable development of coffee, cocoa and agroforestry activities.

Fuentes Caboverde reported that the Festival will be held in a hybrid, in-person and virtual format, while the presentations will be made in all art manifestations, with emphasis on programming in squares and closed spaces of the city and other sub-host territories, in addition to visits to art schools and community projects, as well as theoretical events, among other activities.
