Guantanamo – Raquel Laviste Villafruela, Director General of Education in the Guantanamo Province, informed CMKS Radio Station that the sector suspended the educational process until further notice, due to inclement weather.
She also said that since the information phase was issued for the eastern provinces, defense councils were activated in each school and territory, especially those affected by Hurricane Oscar, with the objective of safeguarding school equipment, human and life resources, among other preventive actions.
She also assured that the José Maceo Grajales Vocational Complex in Guantanamo and some polytechnics operate as evacuation centers for people who have been transferred from various municipalities.
