Guantanamo.- The Limonar People’s Council, where the Plan Turquino is implemented, hosted the kickoff ceremony for the 2025-2026 coffee harvest in the Guantanamo municipality of El Salvador.
The event was attended by the highest political and governmental authorities of the mountainous territory.
According to statements by Magalis Luque Padilla, director of the Agroforestry Company El Salvador (Agrosalva), they expect to collect more than 300 tons of green coffee.
Forty-nine productive forms and 1,159 producers will participate in this harvest, distributed across six People’s Councils and one special district.
Twelve tractors and six trucks are part of the equipment available to transport the coffee grains, in addition to animal traction.
During the ceremony, the Agrosalva and its Production Bases signed the agreement for the year.
