The 3rd International Colloquium “Patria” begins today in this city with the participation of more than a hundred specialists from around thirty countries.
Ricardo Ronquillo Bello, president of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), recently stressed in a press conference that “Patria” will present Cuba’s communicational counter-offensive against the media war and smear campaigns promoted by U.S. imperialism, considering that this time the event will be held at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds, venue of the Exhibition Fair “Informatics 2024”.
“Given that both conferences will be taking place in parallel, we need to align urgent issues in both fields by linking technology to the experience of content creators and promoting its tools to implement the agenda of the progressive forces,” he stressed.
The program includes the presentation of about 60 projects based on groundbreaking experiences in the field of communication, such as those of the Cuban media engaged in experimental steps toward editorial, economic and digital transformation.
