Guantánamo.- Political and government authorities in the easternmost Cuban province checked early Wednesday morning on the implementation of the combative guard duty at economic facilities in the Guantanamo municipality of Manuel Tames.
The visit, led by Yoel Pérez García, First Secretary of the Party in the territory, allowed for an evaluation of the effectiveness of the night shift, including other issues such as the working conditions of the officers, the status of the communication devices, the notification plan, the updating of delivery records, and the systematic checks that the administrative managers of the inspected companies are responsible for overseeing their night patrol, taking into account risks and vulnerabilities.
The visit included the Azcuba warehouse in the town of Argeo Martínez, the community’s winery, the Casita Infantil (Children’s House), the former Transmetro workshop (with trailers, car parts, and other resources), as well as the headquarters of the Azcuba Sugar Company, the Derivatives Company, part of the same agro-industrial group, and the Argeo Martínez sugar mill.
Also participating in the tour were Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor of Guantánamo, and members of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) and the National Revolutionary Police (PNR).
