Guantánamo.- Cuba today congratulated the people and government of the Republic of Angola on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its National Holiday, and reaffirmed the indestructible friendship and brotherhood between both nations.In a message released by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the historical significance of this anniversary for the Angolan people was highlighted and the solidity of bilateral ties, forged in decades of common struggle and cooperation, was reaffirmed.
He also expressed his appreciation for Angola’s strong support for the struggle of the Cuban people against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, which constitutes the main obstacle to the country’s development.
The relations between Cuba and Angola, characterized by solidarity and cooperation, date back to the African struggles for independence and are still valid in the current bilateral and multilateral collaboration scenarios.
