The National Association of Italy-Cuba Friendship (Anaic) celebrated the 64th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Victory, date on which an invasion orchestrated by the United States against the Cuban Revolution, was defeated.Among other activities carried out in many of the more than 70 circles that this solidarity group has, there is a special program for the ItaliaxCuba channel, on Youtube, where a recount is made on that historical fact and its significance, as the first great defeat of US imperialism in America. The program emphasized that in less than 72 hours the Cuban people, under the leadership of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, managed to crush an aggression organized by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), with the participation of a brigade composed of more than 1,500 mercenaries at the service of the United States.
This glorious victory strengthened international support for the Cuban Revolution, as well as the rejection of the actions of the US government to try to destroy it, and as a result of this event, many demonstrations took place in Italy and Anaic was created, an organization that also celebrates its 64th anniversary on this day.
