Guantanamo.- As part of a national tour for its 35th anniversary, the Cuban children’s theater company La Colmenita will perform in the province of Guantánamo next Friday, August 8th, at 6 p.m. in the Pedro Agustín Pérez Multipurpose Plaza in this eastern city.
This artistic tour, which runs from August 4th to the 14th, is specifically dedicated to the 99th birth anniversary of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. It will tour the provinces of Camagüey, Las Tunas, Santiago de Cuba, Holguín, and Guantánamo with the show: “Goldilocks, the Three Bears, and the Prodigious Decade.”
The cast of this popular children’s group, a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and led by maestro Carlos Alberto Cremata (Tin), will arrive in Guantánamo with a new show, following their previous visit to the territory in August 2022, when they performed the play “La cucarachita Martina” at the Guaso Theater.
The presentation of La Colmenita in Guantánamo, scheduled for August 8th at the Pedro Agustín Pérez Multifunctional Plaza, is also part of the cultural program for this Verano Siempre Joven Campaign and will also become a moment of celebration in the territory for the three and a half decades of this group, created by Tin Cremata, who won this year’s National Community Culture Award.
