Cuban National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament) President, Esteban Lazo, arrives today in Angola for a three-day official visit, the Angolan Parliament’s press office announced on Monday.

Lazo’s program in Luanda includes a courtesy meeting with National Assembly President Carolina Cerqueira and meetings with Angolan parliamentarians within the framework of the historic relations between the two institutions.

On Wednesday, February 28, Lazo and his accompanying delegation will attend the plenary session of the Legislative Branch to debate and approve two bills, one on cryptocurrency mining and the other on doping in sports.

On the same day, the Cuban delegation will tour the National Assembly building, the António Agostinho Neto Memorial, and former President José Eduardo dos Santos’s sarcophagus.

They will also learn about the Cardenal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento Hospital Complex.

On February 29, the Cuban Parliament president will honor Cuban Commander, Raúl Díaz Arguelles, by laying a wreath at the Alto de las Cruces Cemetery.

Lazo will arrive in Angola from South Africa, where he met with that country’s governmental leaders and political parties.
