Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero is paying an official visit to Belarus aimed at strengthening cooperation relations between Minsk and Havana in areas of interest including transport, air connections and tourism.

Marrero was welcomed at Minsk International Airport by Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Liahnovich; deputy Foreign Minister Evgenii Shestakov; the director for Latin America at Belarus Foreign Ministry Dimitry Derevinski and by Santiago Perez, Cuban ambassador to Minsk.

The Premier and his delegation will meet a wide official agenda in Belarus, which includes meetings with top government officials and tours of sites of economic and historic interest, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Marrero arrived in Belarus after having met a working agenda in China, where he held high-level talks and exchanged with local entrepreneurs.
