Guantanamo.- Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, presided over the Anti-Imperialist Tribune on the morning of February 26 in the Plaza de la Revolución Mariana Grajales, in Guantánamo, where workers and people in general ratified the unity for the Revolution.
During the act, the voice of the people of Guantanamo was raised, in the name of the Cubans, to reject the hostile policy of the United States against the island, as well as to demand the end of the genocidal blockade that the American government has maintained on Cuba for more than six decades.
Likewise, those attending the patriotic tribune ratified the anti-imperialist position of this people in the face of the decision of the current American government to transfer up to 30 thousand migrants to the facilities of the illegal Yankee naval base in Guantánamo, and demanded the return of this part of our territory illegally occupied by the United States.
The Anti-Imperialist Tribune, in which representatives from the municipalities of El Salvador, Caimanera and Manuel Tames also participated, also condemned the inclusion of Cuba in the spurious list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism.
Also presiding over the massive gathering were Roberto Morales Ojeda, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, Yoel Pérez García, First Secretary of the Party in the Province, Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor and other authorities of the country and the Guantanamo territory.
After the event, the Cuban president accompanied by the member of the Political Bureau and local authorities tours the municipality of Niceto Perez. where the delegation visitied the Quarry Luis Raposo Base Business Unit. and other areas of socioeconomic interest for the country.
