Guantanamo.- Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz tours socioeconomic centers in the province of Guantánamo to verify the progress and implementation of the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy.
The tour began in the municipality of Caimanera, bordering the illegal naval base that the US government has maintained on Cuban soil since 1903, against the will of the people.
In that Guantanamo territory, he visited the new ETECSA commercial office, the Maternity Hospitalization Ward, the Salt Company Branch, the Community Food Home, and the El Jardín de los Sueños Children’s House. The latter two facilities are located in Cayamo, a community that implements a social and economic transformation program.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz, is leading the extraordinary session of the Governing Council in the province of Guantánamo, where the implementation of the Action Plan for differentiated attention to the territory is being evaluated.
Accompanying the leader on his tour are the highest authorities of Guantánamo, Yoel Pérez García, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the PCC, and Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor.
