Salvador Valdés Mesa, member of the Political Bureau and Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, called to promote the potential and exportable resources of the Guantánamo Province, after visiting the stand of the territory in the 39th edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV).

After appreciating samples of leading exportable products such as different varieties of organic coffee, and cocoa and coconut and byproducts, Valdés Mesa pointed out the need to promote the business and export potential of the Cuban Upper East much more.

The Vice President Valdés Mesa showed interest in promoting products such as coconut substrate and fiber, which can be used in agriculture and upholstery and manufacture of mattresses that  belong to the local development project CocoBa, of Various Local Industries of the Baracoa Municipality.

The 39th edition of FIHAV, the largest commercial and business forum in the country, takes place at the ExpoCuba fairgrounds, and in which this year some participate, which will run until next day the 11th, with the participation of 60 countries and 800 companies, both national and foreign.

For the first time with the participation of local governments, Guantanamo shows in the event the 19 foreign investment projects approved in the territory.
