Guantanamo.-Alexandra Cobas Sánchez, member of the provincial secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women in this eastern province, called to strengthen the work of the health brigades in the communities as the main stage of their performance.
The female leader highlighted the experience of this force to support the family doctor and nurse in their work to prevent arboviruses in the face of the existing epidemiological scenario in this eastern territory, with the presence of diseases such as dengue and Oropouche.
In her call to the more than three thousand health brigade members, she calls on them to continue with visits to homes and workplaces in order to support actions that favor sanitation and the development of talks and hearings in the neighborhoods.
She also emphasizes closer exchanges with pregnant women, children, the elderly alone and people with chronic illnesses, population segments that must take extreme measures to avoid complications in their health situation.
Alexandra Cobas Sánchez, member of the provincial secretariat of the FMC in Guantánamo, highlights the work that the health brigade members have carried out for years in favor of the well-being of people from supporting vaccination campaigns, to breastfeeding week, the creation of medicinal plant gardens in doctors’ offices and vector control.
