The IX Meeting of Young Choreographers began in Guantanamo Province with the lecture “Ballet Folklorico Babul, the art of safeguarding traditions”, given by the young Magela Zamora Simons at the headquarters of this emblematic company that is directed by maestro Ernesto Llewelyn for 30 years.
Then, the prima ballerina and regisseur Marveyis Martínez taught class in which dancers from the groups invited to the event exchanged with the troupe of Babul Folkloric Ballet.
The event provides for the participating dance groups to exhibit their new choreographies, either contemporary or folk styles. It also includes the displays of videos of dance activity during the moment it is performed-; promotion, a section that includes audiovisual materials, promo-advertising and trailer of the creative process; as well as in the video dance section, with materials of no more than 10 minutes and in mp4 format.
