Guantanamo.- With the goal of providing appropriate recreational options, cultural workers are organizing a varied program for different age groups in each of the towns in the municipality of Yateras in anticipation of the upcoming 2025 vacation season.

Dennis Reyes Matos, director of the cultural association in the mountainous town, stated that to ensure the summer program, they have a budget of 308,000 pesos, an amount, he said, that does not meet the local demand but does support the main summer events.

Reyes Matos stated that the stages include the celebration of Children’s Day and commemoration of historical dates as the National Rebellion Day, and the Commander’s birth anniversary.

He also referred to the 130th anniversary of the passage through Yateras of the Honor Schooner Expeditionaries and the death in combat of Major General Francisco Adolfo Crombet Tejeda of the Liberation Army at Alto de Palmarito as a significant moment to remember throughout the summer.

During the summer months in the mountainous municipality of Yateras, the Culture Sector is organizing activity proposals that will make up the program for the enjoyment of all residents of the territory.

These activities include innovative offerings that can be accessed from the nine identified permanent areas and from others approved by the Municipal Recreation Commission.
