The delegates to the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Guantanamo, with all the autonomy that corresponds to them, unanimously approved the budget and economic plan for next year 2024, a procedure that ratifies its purely social nature.
In the presence of Yoel Pérez García, first secretary of the Party in the province, the figure, despite the material limitations as a result of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government, will support the conquests of the people in the areas of health, education, culture and sports.
Other purposes that will be covered by next year’s budget in the capital municipality of the Guantanamo Province are linked to agricultural production and the housing program, in order to reduce the number of families affected by weather events.
Yoel Pérez García, First Secretary of the Party in the Guantanamo Province, when speaking at the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in the capital of the territory, highlighted the analysis and discussion generated by the interventions which allow the construction of a budget that increasingly resembles the needs of the population.
