Guantanamo.- The Regino E. Boti Literature and Plastic Arts Constest begins this Wednesday 5th and extends to Saturday 8th, in Guantánamo. The event is dedicated to the 146th birth anniversary of the renown poet, whose notebook Kodak-Ensueño was published 95 years ago.
In poetry contest, 47 books were accepted representing authors from all the provinces of the country, 16 by those under 35 years of age and 10 by authors from Guantanamo.
Dedicated to engraving, the fine arts contest accepted 47 works for the hall of exhibition.
During the press conference, the organizers of the event from the Provincial Directorate of Culture, the Book and Literature Center and the Plastic Arts Council highlighted the value of the theoretical spaces and exhibitions proposed in the program.
The inaugural conference, on Wednesday the 5th, at 9am, in the Aretusa room, of the local headquarters of Cuban Artists and Writers Association (Uneac), will focus on Eclecticism and modernity in the work of Regino E. Boti, by the art critic Jorge Núñez Motes.
