Guantánamo.- Technical reports for the legalization of homes, certifications of compliance with urban regulations, project reviews, and the granting of building permits are among the services offered by the Institute of Territorial and Urban Planning in Guantánamo to individuals interested in completing these processes.
According to the aforementioned source, these procedures are carried out through the Municipal Directorates of Territorial Planning, under the authority of Agreement 85-74 of 2019, which approved the Regulations for the planning and legalization of homes, rooms, ancillary spaces, and premises without legal status that comply with urban regulations.
According to this legal instrument, the process for obtaining a technical report for the legalization of homes applies to houses built without legal formalities before May 2019. It requires only two applications: one with the applicant’s personal information and the address of the home to be legalized.
Then, the cases from Baracoa and Guantánamo are taken to the respective processing offices in each of those territories. In the rest of the municipalities, they are submitted to the Directorate of Territorial Planning.
