Guantánamo – The Electoral Council of the San Antonio del Sur Municipality, in Guantanamo Province, ratified Osmel Martínez Furones as President of that structure, in recognition of his commitment and responsibility in that work during the last five years.
The meeting highlighted the career of the aforementioned electoral authority, who committed committed to complying with local law and regulations, guaranteed, together with his work team, the development of electoral processes, the approval of codes and other activities relted to exercising socialist democracy, taking into account the characteristics and demands of the coastal territory.
The inauguration of the office was attended by Yoannis Ortiz Cintra, first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Party, and Yamilé Gonzalez Durand, president of the Government body in the territory.
In the presence of the highest political and governmental authorities of San Antonio del Sur and members of the higher body, the Electoral Council, led by Osmel Martínez Furones and the members of his work team were sworn into office and were appropriately credentialed for the positions they hold.
