The member of the Political Bureau and president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Juan Esteban Lazo Hernández, leads the parliamentary visit that takes place in the province of Guantanamo until Saturday, February 10.
On this second day of the deputies’ tour, the also president of the Council of State, exchanged the advanced producer Pedro Manuel Dorado Matos, pertaining to the Enrique Campos cooperatives in the province´s main city.
There he knew that this emporium, located in a semi-desert area, produces all year round; of the 30 hectares they have, about 17 are dedicated to several crops thanks to a Chinese irrigation system.
He also visited the Pescaguan Fishing Company, where he became interested in the growth of production through the use of science, technology, innovation and the use of local resources and spoke with the workers about the salaries they receive.
Medical centers in the city of Guantanamo also received the parliamentarians.
