Guantanamo.- Reina Labañino Labañino, territorial manager of the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA, in Guantánamo Province, indicated that, as planned, the company is progressing with the installation of photovoltaic solar panel modules in six of the ten municipalities in the province, as part of the national strategy to address the energy crisis.

She explained that these systems are part of a company policy aimed at minimizing disruptions to telecommunications services and ensuring continuity and reliability, especially for landline and mobile telephony, as well as Nauta Hogar (home internet access).

The installation of these two-kilowatt systems is planned for the chief towns of the municipalities of Manuel Tames, Imías, San Antonio del Sur, Niceto Pérez, and El Salvador.

With this strategy, ETECSA in Guantánamo Province reaffirms its commitment to the sustainability and continuity of telecommunications services in the region, opting for clean and resilient energy solutions.
