Guantanamo.- With the beginning of the new school year in the Guantánamo Province, the Martí Youth Movement and the Friends of Martí Club aim to regenerate structures that improve their operation in this period in order to exalt the legacy of the National Hero of Cuba.
Daimaris Leanne Reyes Blanco, president of the Martí Youth Movement in this eastern territory, reported to CMKS and points out the need to search for attractive communication products to promote the life and work of the most universal of Cubans from an early age.
The youth leader explains that workshops, contests, visits to monuments will be held in schools and other centers, among other spaces such as the Dialogue of Generations in order to contribute to the dissemination of the José Martí’s thoughts and the history of the country.
Daimaris Leanne Reyes Blanco, president of the Martí Youth Movement in the province, refers to the need to promote research work, and in this regard highlights the participation in the National Youth Seminar on Martí Studies that in its 48th edition brought together some 50 Guantanamo residents in the provincial competition.
The national event will take place this September and about eight students from different levels of education will represent Guantanamo, a territory that advocates for the durability of the legacy of the Apostle of the Cuban independence.
