The Secretary of the Cuban Parliament and the Council of State, Homero Acosta Álvarez, heads the delegation that began with the meeting at the headquarters of the local government with the presence of Vice Governor Carlos Martínez Turro, deputies, program coordinators and directors of organizations.
The parliamentarians visited seven of the ten municipalities of this eastern province of Cuba, in this first day of exchange with workers and the people in general.
In El Salvador, Acosta Álvarez toured several units that provide service to its inhabitants such as the Cadena del Pan unit, the restaurant and the local winery complex, where he also spoke with producers such as Reinier Nápoles Castillo, from the CCS Pedro Agustín Pérez, in the neighborhood Sempré, successfully leads a group dedicated to food production.
Until next Saturday the 10th, the delegation will tour several municipalities in the province with the fundamental purpose of exchanging with the population at the grassroots level, delegates, presidents of neighborhoods, among other authorities of that body and check-up on the implementation of the policies approved for the economy, services and different social programs.
The working visit of the members of the Permanent Commissions of Local Bodies is aimed at Educational, scientific and public health centers, food production, goods and services and construction materials, and they showed special interest in the results of Health Care youth, childhood and women’s equality rights, Health and Sports, Industry, Construction and Energy, Agri-Food and Economic, assessing compliance with the plan of measures derived from the local government’s accountability before the country’s highest legislative body.
