Nine experiences of Secondary education will represent the province of Guantanamo in the Third International Congress For an inclusive school, scheduled to take place in Havana from November 20 to 24, proposals selected from fifty papers presented in symposiums in the event´s recent provincial session.
During the encounter, organized by the Department of Secundary Education in the Sector´s Provincial Branch, more than 80 teachers participated in the presentation of their good practices for improving the educational process, with the aim of guaranteeing equitable and quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
ICT and the management of innovation in the transformation of education was the theme of the opening conference, by Doctor of Science Yulia Clark Feoktiostova, from the University of Guantanamo, during the program carried out in person at the 14 de Junio special school, and virtual, with the province´s eastern municipalities.
The contribution of methodologists and teachers was highlighted by Nelda Castillo Cascaret, head of the Department of Secondary Education, both in the transformations verified in the improvement of the class, as well as in spreading of good practices, contributing to the fulfillment of the quality objectives proposed in the 2020-30 Unesco Agenda, in this complex and decisive educational stage of children and adolescents.
The event included courses taught by academics, and in the seven symposiums, educators exchanged and shared scientific results and good practices in their daily work, based on the search for solutions to educational problems, their role, challenges, and challenges in the knowledge society.
The papers selected in Guantanamo for the final session of the Third International Congress for an inclusive school will be announced next September.
In the two previous international events, the province participated with five works on each occasion.
