Guantánamo – With the certainty of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro that young people must be counted on, Guantánamo will develop an emotional day from August 11 to 13 with the motivations being the 98th birthday of the Commander in Chief and International Youth Day.

Sahyli Frómeta Tito, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Young Communists League, reported that in this context the exhibition “Fidel entre nosotros ” will be inaugurated in the Plaza de la Revolución Mariana Grajales, a display of personal objects donated by the maximum leader of the Cuban revolution to the museums of this eastern territory.

As part of the tribute, a representation of Guantanamo residents will visit the Birthplace of the Commander in Chief in Birán, while the cartoon “Camino de Gigante” will be screened at the Huambo cinema in the capital city, the Dialogue between Generations will be held and the bibliographical exhibition “Fidel y la juventud cubana”.

On August 13, the Guaso theater will host the Political Cultural Gala dedicated to celebrating the 98th birthday of the historical leader, in addition to the conversation that will take place in the Border Brigade “Orden Antonio Maceo” and commented readings about the life and work of Fidel in libraries and penitentiary centers.

The UJC in Guantánamo plans from August 11 to 13 in all municipalities to carry out  a varied program that includes work in productive areas, climbing to mountainous sites, the “Creando ju” costume party and big youth bonfires, among other initiatives.
