The Guantanamo branch of the Cuban Historians Association (UNHIC) sponsors the scientific-methodological event “De La Confianza a San Pedro” (From La Confianza to San Pedro), which takes place within the framework of the Guantanamo Culture Week.
The UNHIC headquarters in this city is the venue for the 29th issue of the event in which historians, professors, journalists and other professionals participate with around twenty presentations on several aspects of local cultural and historical identity, as well as socio-political issues.
As part of the event, the exhibition dedicated to the 129th anniversary of the restart of the War of Independence on February 24, 1895 was also inaugurated and a discussion on the Canarian migration in Guantanamo and its culinary tradition was held, among other activities.
