Guantanamo.- From the Caujerí Valley, in the municipality of San Antonio del Sur, in Guantanamo Province, members of the 17 de Mayo Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) overcome obstacles and transport products so that the people have a variety of options at the Agro-Industrial Fair.
Every Sunday, the farmers of the CPA travel approximately 60 kilometers to city of Guantánamo, where they have a point on the corner of Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue and Beneficencia Street, and the local population welcomes them warmly.
Enrique Garcia Hermosilla, a representative of the CPA, emphasizes how, in these complex times, they are seeking alternatives to meet the needs of the people.
The Agro-Industrial Fair in the provincial capital of Guantánamo continues; it will not be stopped, and every Sunday, the city’s residents make the purchase decisions of products and items, despite the genocidal pressures of the U.S. government and its President Donald Trump, who is intensifying the blockade against Cuba.
The highest authorities in the territory prioritize fuel for the transport of goods to territories far from the city of Guantánamo.
