Representatives of the German Solidarity Movement “Cuba Sí” donated a module of disposable materials to the Doctor Agosthino Neto General Teaching Hospital, in Guantanamo Province, mainly to support surgical services and seriously ill patients in this institution.
Claudia Jenny Gerathewohl, a member of the movement, assured the local press that this type of collaboration will continue, in frank defiance of the US government, and she also added that the German leftist party manages other aid valued at thousands of euros with the support of different health organizations in their country, in a self-financed way.
For his part, Dr. José Alfredo Estevan Soto, general director of the health institution in the province, thanked the donation that contains registration paper for the defibrillator, 15 infusion systems, 200 10-milliliter plastic syringes, 300 non-sterile rubber gloves large size and 200 one-milliliter syringes with needles.
Likewise, the specialist expressed his deference to the members of the Cuban Workers Federation present there and assured that a good part of these supplies will reach the polyclinic of the Yateras Municipality, one of the most deficient of medical supplies in the province.][/bg_collapse]
