The Guantanamo residents gathered this Wednesday in José Martí Park in this city, to demand peace and condemn the Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip.

Young people, workers, local and foreign students performed the grand concert in a massive rally of solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemnation of Israel’s crimes.

There was music, verse and dance through several artists also present in the activity organized by the Young Communists League (UJC) with the support of mass organizations such as the Central Workers of Cuba (CTC), the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC).

Guantanamo, like all of Cuba, joins the global demand for the ceasefire of Israeli barbarism against Palestine, which according to recent data has already caused the death of more than 18,200 people, in the midst of enormous efforts by the international community to stop the massacre.

As Foreign Minister Bruno Rodróguez Parrilla declared: “They are war crimes and crimes against humanity that must be stopped now. The international community must force an immediate ceasefire, in the face of the veto that paralyzes the Security Council and guarantees criminal impunity for genocide.”
