Guantánamo.- Guantánamo took a significant step in the process of transforming its energy matrix with the synchronization of a new photovoltaic park capable of supplying 21.8 megawatts to the National Electricity System.
The incorporation of this facility contributes to increasing energy generation from renewable sources, in line with the country’s strategy of reducing dependence on fossil fuels and moving toward sustainable development.

The new photovoltaic park strengthens the country’s supply capacity and represents an important contribution to the stability and diversification of the national electricity system, while also meeting Cuba’s commitments to environmental protection and energy efficiency.
