Agricultural areas in the region of Virginia Café, Monte Verde and La Bamba, in the Yateras Municipality were visited by Yoel Pérez García, first secretary of the Party in Guantánamo, who confirmed the advances in the food sovereignty and nutritional education program in the mountain territory.Accompanied by Vice Governor Carlos Raúl Martínez Turro, and the highest political and administrative authorities in that Guantanamo municipality, Pérez García exchanged with agricultural producers such as Alfredo Manuel Goliat, Osmel Cardona and Gevy Arriete, who achieve important levels of food, vegetables and grains, and increase the production of cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry.The delegation knew about local development projects aimed at increasing food production and reached areas that are being prepared for potato cultivation and others dedicated to aquaculture.At the end of the day, the first secretary of the Party in Guantanamo presided over the comprehensive visit to Yateras and reflected with provincial and municipal officials on the importance of the correct implementation of the measures approved by the country to revive the economy and the need for their distribution to the population.
