Organizing, integrating, and mobilizing the more than 3,000 members in the province of Guantanamo, in the interest of fostering labor, patriotic, and moral values, is the commitment of the leadership of the Civilian Defense Workers’ Union in the province, in honor of this September 19th, the 54th anniversary of the union’s creation.
Yosvany Castillo Claro, general secretary of the union, said that in honor of the anniversary, the labor staffs of the MININT and the FAR held volunteer work days, special morning meetings, organized blood donations, and awarded the most outstanding members.
The labor leader added that they meet the efficiency indicators in organizational functioning, highlighting the contribution to the homeland and payment of dues by each union member.
The ANIR movement of both armed forces plays a significant role in import substitution and in the work of preserving and modernizing weapons.
The political and cultural event in Guantánamo province for this September 19th, Civilian Defense Workers’ Day, will be an ideal setting to award the Emilio Bárcenas Pier Distinction, the martyr of the sector, to men and women with extraordinary merit, as well as to present diplomas and other recognitions to the groups that have distinguished themselves in the missions and tasks aimed at maintaining the high and complete combat readiness.
