Guantanamo.- Over the weekend, a sanitation campaign was held in the Caribe Popular neighborhhod, led and organized by the territorial authorities and the Communal Services Enterprise.
Union organizations and various agencies are participating in the work, including the cultural sector, the Provincial Directorate of Education, Commerce, and Gastronomy, among others.
Companies such as the Construction Materials Company also collaborate, providing support with loaders and trucks for solid waste collection.
The Caribe neighborhood is joining the cleanup efforts. Residents of 17th North Street between San Gregorio and Santa Rita, along with those of the multi-family building on 18th North Street between Beneficencia and San Lino, are also involved in cleaning task.
Ismairi Guillen Fresco, Director of the Communal Services Enterprise, acknowledged the participation of various organizations and the public in the sanitation efforts and called for cooperation in maintaining hygiene throughout Guantánamo.
These activities will extend over the coming weeks to the southern part of the city and the Obrero Neighborhood, in order to reduce environmental risks that can create situations that help pathogens spread.
