The CubaTaxis Agency in Guantánamo closed the first quarter of 2025 with results in production, returns and budgetary outcome, among other efficiency indicators, exceeding 100 percent, thanks to the efforts and perseverance of its staff.

As example of staff’s persistence is that from Monday to Saturday, the  drivers of more than twenty electric tricycles in the city of Guantánamo, demonstrate their commitment to the people by maintaining service despite the energy contingency facing the territory.

In this regard, Madelay Santiago Rodríguez, manager of the Cuba Taxis Agency, which owns these vehicles, says that sometimes the vehicles cannot be fully charged due to the power shortage, but trips in the city are prioritized during the morning and early afternoon hours to facilitate passenger transportation given the fuel shortage.

Since the arrival of electric tricycles in the area about ten months ago, no complaints have been reported from the population, and the safekeeping of these vehicles in a collective parking lot is guaranteed, while the stability of the drivers responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of these vehicles to prevent breakdowns is achieved.
