Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor of Guantánamo, pursuant to Article 24, paragraph (b) of Law 138 on the Organization and Functioning of the Provincial Government of People’s Power, calls the Provincial Council meeting for the month of April, to be held on Tuesday, April 29th, at 1:30 pm, from the People’s Power Theater.
Among the topics to be discussed are: the progress of the implementation and fulfillment of the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy in 2025 and the execution of the 2025 budget at the close of the previous month, with emphasis on accounts receivable and payable and the collection of fines.
Also, the leasing of commercial and gastronomic premises; the current status of the Senior Citizens’ Homes and Nursing Homes, and the housing and local construction materials production program, along with public opinion on these topics and actions to move forward.
The progress of the sugar harvest, the certification of the Municipal Development Strategies, and the evaluation of the functioning of the Local Bodies of People’s Power are issues included.
