Guantanamo.- In the midst of complex energy contingency that the country is facing, Guantánamo guarantees the sustainability of vital services for the population.

In addition to the actions of the health sector, strategies are being implemented by the Provincial Transportation and Commerce Company to ensure passenger transportation and food supplies to the population.

It was confirmed on air by the top executives of these sectors in the province, who appeared on the radio program Señal on the Provincial Radio Station CMKS.

  • Three of the four hospitals in the province are located in priority circuits and also have guaranteed power generators.
  • The twenty-two health areas, nursing homes, and maternity hospitals are also prioritized with power generators.
  • There are limitations on tires and lubricants, but some routes in the capital city (lines 2, 5, 6, and 9) are available, in addition to the support of rented vehicles.
  • Electronic tricycles are already operating during the morning and afternoon hours.
