Guantanamo.- Nearly thirty windmills will need to be recovered in Guantánamo Province in order to install a pumping system and supply water to livestock.

Jaime Ferrer Guach, head of the engineering department at the Provincial Delegation of Agriculture, specified that 28 of these structures will be refurbished, adding to the 20 that are currently operating.

He also pointed out that the program is in its initial stages, which may require a major investment in pumps, piping and tanks. He added that the Agricultural Technical Services Company will play a key role in the restoration work.
