An exhibition of products, services and results in the last five years within the activity of science, technology and inventiveness is presented at the 7th Guantánamo Innova Fair with the objective of socializing experiences in this field of utmost importance for the advancement of the economy and society.
Sponsored by the delegation of Science, Technology and Environment in the province in close alliance with the universities of the territory, the exhibition shows the inventiveness and projects of state companies, budgeted units, science entities, MSMEs and other actors, which will promote greater efficiency, competitiveness and offering agile responses to different demands.
In the Innova Fair, the stands shows different types of bread, sweets, varieties of soft drinks and vinegar made by the food industry, soaps made by the Lescay-Jalm MSME, honey, of Apicuba, services of Etecsa, the Ciget Technological Management and Information Center and other entities, which are some of the proposals of this event that brought together researchers, specialists, innovators and managers.
At the opening of the exhibition meeting, the master’s degree Jesús Martín Perez, CITMA delegate in the province, recognized the University of Guantánamo for distinguishing itself with his contributions within the science system in the province.
Likewise, the Master of Science, professor and assistant researcher Alexander Fernández Velázquez gave a conference about innovation and the circular economy, during which he demonstrated the need to win in the use of all resources to generate economic income, benefits for people and to the environment.
For his part, Jesús Martín Pérez, highest representative of CITMA in the province, valued that the Guantanamo Innova Fair promotes the culture of creation to solve existing problems in food production, environmental management, and transformations of productive systems and projects that lead to new opportunities for the socioeconomic development of the territory.
