With debates about the circular economy, the transfer of technologies, resilience to climate change, artificial intelligence, among other topics, the fourth edition of the INTERGEST Guantanamo workshop is carried out in the province that bets on innovation and knowledge in pursuit of sustainable development.

Sponsored by the Information and Technological Management Center (Ciget) in the territory, some 60 delegates from this type in Cuba, businessmen, new economy actors, innovators, academics and students participate in this meeting, who exhibit presentations related to results of research, projects and initiatives.

Jesús Martín Pérez, delegate of Science, Technology and Environment in the province, highlighted during the appointment the importance of innovations management and creating a culture in favor of its use, as fundamental pillars for progress.

One of the conferences about the Cuban economy, in charge of Dr. Javier Pérez Capdevila, who analyzed the difficulties and challenges faced by the different actors, in addition to pronouncing themselves by self -criticism and the use of science to improve economic management.

At the meeting there were exhibitions of the GRECHEN projects, of natural cosmetics, and brand confessions, which produces clothing and accessories through sewing, fabrics and crafts, examples of entrepreneurship based on initiatives that allow the diversification of quality offers.

During the Interget workshop, delegates will also participate in conferences such as the one that will present the advances of the environmental project to decontaminate the Guantanamo Guaso basin, in addition to panels and interactive spaces on themes about artificial intelligence and agroecological technologies.

Likewise, works that evaluate environmental risks, intellectual property and innovations in services for sustainable development are discussed too, with the aim of promoting tools and methodologies to strengthen the Cuban business system, in addition to generating solutions to the deficiencies and challenges facing the nation.
