Guantanamo.-With the presence of about 180 voters of the nearly 200 who attended, the pilot meeting of the delegate’s accountability process to his voters was held in the 102 Block of the Rubén López Sabariego Popular Council, in Guantanamo Municipality. It began on September 20 and will extend nationwide until November 15.

In the exchange that was characterized by participatory democracy, the representative of the people in this demarcation, Rider Enrique Mastrapa Laborí, reported on the current situation that the country faces in the national energy system, the distribution of the basic basket, among other issues of interest that the population should know and contribute from their initiatives to alleviate the complexities from which the Guantanamo population is not exempt.

As an essential aspect of the first process of Accountability of the delegate to his constituents corresponding to the Eighteenth Term of Office, Rider Enrique Mastrapa, delegate of the 102nd district of the capital municipality of the easternmost province of Cuba, gave an account of his management to his constituents.

In his final speech, he ratified his commitment to continue representing his voters with dignity in all the scenarios to which he is summoned to the Sessions of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, an organ in which he serves as Vice President.

During the debates, the people referred to dissatisfaction in matters such as stability in the collection of solid waste, public lighting, requests for land and other matters that with the participation of all can contribute to having a better community based on the creation of a polygon for food production, sanitation to avoid environmental contamination and improve the health situation of the community.

The meeting was attended by the First Secretary of the Party in the province, Yoel Pérez García, and Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor, also deputies to the National Assembly of People’s Power.
